EIGER ULTRA TRAIL by UTMB – E16 Pleasure Trail 16K

The E16 is perfect for short distance specialists, and for those wishing to enjoy a shorter trail at their leisure! The trail starts out towards the Wetterhorn and when it reaches Winteregg (above Bort) at 1600m, the max altitude is almost already in the bag. From here, the trail leads through alternating sections of forest, small gorges and sweeping meadows via Bort, Nodhalten and Holewang, ending with a spritely downhill back into Grindelwald.

The trail is so well located that it is possible for you to hike or to train on for around 8 months of the year, weather conditions permitting. Since December 2016, the E16 route is marked.
